Our wind farm is located in Zhuozi county, central area of Wu Lan Cha Bu city, Cha Haer Lava Mesa, Inner Mongolia. The geographical location of the wind farm is at Huitengxile and the altitude is above sea level 1920—2100 meter. While it is at the east longitude 110°40′~112°72′and the north latitude: 40°05′~41°97′. The wind farm is covered with the natural grassland and the landform is quite open and smooth.
The distance between Beijing and the wind farm is about 360 km ( a 3 hour drive) and is even closer to Huhehaote, the capital city of Inner Mongolia, about 80 km away from Beijing.
The wind farm, Huitengxile, is on a mountaintop mesa. The average
annual temperature is -0.5℃. During the past 22 years, the
highest temperature is 32℃ while the lowest temperature reaches
-38.2℃. The Huitengxile is at the temperate zone that is
semiarid and has continental monsoon weather. The four seasons
are clearly divided. While the weather is clear, chilly and snowless
in winter. It is dry and windy in spring; cool in summer; and cold
and dewy in autumn.
Wind is air in motion. The amount of energy in the wind is a function
of its speed and mass; therefore they are the basic factors that
determine the power in the wind.
