Notes:
1. The MBA cost calculation assumes that each
student has a bachelor degree
in business administration, management,
or finance in which case prerequisite
courses may not be required. However,
students with non-business degrees will
be required to complete 12 credit hours
of undergraduate business courses
(prerequisites) in order to prepare
them for MBA-level courses.
2. We believe students should
be given maximum exposure to the United States
and the rich experience that it has to offer.
We propose taking them to different
places and immerse them in American social
life. The costs include transportation
and one night lodging in hotel.
3. The costs for housing, which
does not include food, was estimated for me by
Ms. Linda Klein, Coordinator of
Services in the International Programs Office.
It is based on 4 or 6 students
sharing a two- or three-bedroom apartment. This
will mean signing a one-year lease,
beginning with the Hotel Management
students and continuing with the
MBA students. The apartment will be
furnished. Estimate here is very
low, that is, if we will be able to pull it off (see
http://www.lincolnu.edu/pages/247.asp for
published estimated cost of attending
LU—either on or off campus.
Recruitment of International students. The cost
of attendance that we show on I-20's is $17,000/year. They
would also need to pay the SEVIS (I-901) fee of $100 prior to getting
their visa as well.
We will charge international students $20,000 USD. $17,000 goes
to Lincoln University (students can pay tuition in 3 equal installments
of approximately $4,000 USD. Students will also be able to work on or
off campus to help pay tuition.)
China side receives commission of $1900 USD per student and Lincoln College receives $1100 USD.
Students have two routes to Lincoln University:
1) Go to USA to study MBA at Lincoln University directly on F-1 student
visa
2) Go to Lincoln College of Malaysia first for 6 months to study
and pass TOEFL, GMAT and take two online classes offered by Lincoln University;
then to the USA to complete MBA at Lincoln University on F-1 student
visa.
